I am now 7 lbs above my goal weight! Even over the holidays, since completing my marathon, I have lost 7 more pounds. I feel motivated and relieved!
Food:
Food really is 90% of weight loss. You cannot lose weight without changing your eating habits. I have been successfully changing my night time eating habits! I have gone back to myfitnesspal as my helper in watching calories and carbs. I also try to eat mostly whole foods, or clean eating.
Exercise:
I have enjoying lots of time in classes at the gym. My best workout starts with a 10-20 minute cardio session on the treadmill or elliptical, followed by a weight training class. My favorite class is Yoga VFX, which is yoga+weights+cardio. It is AHMAZING. I also continue to love taekwondo as evening workouts.
Sleep:
I am doing better. But could still improve. :)

Breaking the Eating Bad at Night Habit!
I have a bad habit. Desserts and carbs late at night. Like 11 pm. Right before bed. It has been terribly hard to break and I have yet to do so!
I didn't do this at all before having babies and losing weight. My theory as to why this started? Dieting! All day I try to eat healthy and save up my calories so I won't be hungry at night and not be able to eat. Even if I was eating low calories, this conditioned me to always thinking I need to eat at night! Like its my last night on earth! Every day I recommit and every evening I fail again.
I have a new plan! My plan is to eat a big breakfast, anything I want to eat. Then, eat a heavy lunch, almost like I would normally eat for dinner- mashed potatoes, or meat added to a meal I would normally eat for lunch. Today I had a salad, which is my normal lunch, with a side of mashed potatoes! Then, when dinner came I was not famished. I ate intuitively, listening to when I was full.
On top of the new eating plan, I am adding a workout in the evening. Even something small like a 30 minute workout video. Something to get me sweating. I find that I don't crave anything but water after a good evening workout.
Finally, early to bed!!!! This is KEY and by far the hardest thing for me. I rarely get to bed before midnight. Like once every month or so rarely. It is bad.
So this is my plan! Eat heavier meals early on, exercise again in the evening, and get some much needed sleep! Wish me luck...

7 Weeks Postpartum... GO TIME
Workouts this week:
3- 3 mile runs
2- P90X workouts
...Alright. It's go time. I am DONE carting this extra weight around and ready to take off! In the past two weeks, I have GAINED 0.5 lb.
Dang it. I could just punch something... well guess what! I ordered a punching bag. I am no longer near the gym I used to go to that had a kickboxing class with punching bags. So, I got my own! It comes in a few days, I can't wait!
I have been eating poorly. My pregnancy was very difficult with food. The first four months I all but starved myself and exercised excessively. I was desperately trying not to gain so much weight. However, it kicked my body into starvation mode and I gained all the weight anyway. Now, I am trying to psych my body out of starvation mode! The way to do this is to eat ENOUGH calories, eat a FILLING breakfast, and eat healthily.
Eating Goals:
1- No eating after 8 p.m.
2- No fried foods
3- One sweet treat a week
4- Eat out once a week
5- No overeating
Exercise Goals:
Three 3+ mile runs a week
One speed workout a week
One cross training workout a week
After 4 weeks, I will add onto these exercise goals with strength training and increased mileage as well.
I started this pregnancy 7 lbs. lighter than I did with my first two pregnancies, so I have further to go to get to my actual prepregnancy weight. However, I think I am going to tweak my goal to get to my original weight before those first two pregnancies. So, I have 31.5 lbs. to lose to get there. After I get there, I will see how I feel.
I am accountable! Here we go!

Weeks 3-5 Postpartum
Weight loss: 2 lbs
Weight above prepregnancy weight: 37 lbs
So tired!
4 Weeks Postpartum
Weight loss: 1 lb
Weight above prepregnancy weight: 36 lbs
I did something very difficult this week. I bought two new pairs of pants because up until now I was wearing pajamas and skirts and that was all. Not even my biggest jeans fit. So, I caved and bought some. However, this has helped me to feel more patient.
5 Weeks Postpartum
Weight loss: 2.5 lbs
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS: 25.5 LBS
Weight above prepregnancy weight: 33.5 lbs
I finally feel encouraged. Only a few more days until I can run and exercise again! I am very eager and excited. I had a sweet friend tell me the other day to be patient with myself and enjoy this time. I am really enjoying baby Everli and the time I have with all three of my small children.

1 Week and 2 Weeks Postpartum
1 Week Postpartum:
Weight Lost: 18.5 lbs.
Weight Above Prepregnancy Weight: 38 lbs.
This is what I was afraid of... the weight is not coming off this time like it did the first two times, and I think that's because it's more fat than water weight. My fears are being realized. At least my baby is healthy...
2 Weeks Postpartum:
Weight Lost: 1 lb.
Total Weight Lost: 19.5 lbs.
Weight Above Prepregnancy Weight: 37 lbs.
I am so sick of being Big Dani. I want to be myself again, I hate being stuck in this huge body.
