Cozmo's Pre-Dani-Pregnancy weight: 21 lbs.
Hello everyone! Thanks for still checking this blog even though I have not fulfilled my word of posting every week... oops! My B. Again. Here's my update:
I am now 1 pound over my prepregnancy weight! Hooray! Go team!
I told you that it's possible. I gained nearly 60 pounds by the time I was 9 months along with Caleb. Now he's not even 9 months old and I am back to normal. With faith, all things are possible my friends.

Okay, so I have officially let everyone down on keeping up with this blog. Part of the reason is that I stopped losing weight. I am now 2 pounds above my prepreg weight and I am at a stand-still. I think it's because I stopped exercising regularly for about a month there. So, this last week and this week I have exercised and I'm back in the swing of things, once again!
I now know what it is like to be sleep-deprived. Caleb was sleeping the worst during months 3, 4, and 5. It was unbearable. It is not just about being tired - it's so much more than that. Sleep affects the ENTIRE composition of your body AND your mind. Sleep affects your weight, and it also affects your mental health. The lack of sleep definitely damaged both aspects of my body.
Sleep and Weight Loss
For those 3 months when Caleb was not sleeping well, I lost ZERO pounds. My body just stopped losing weight. It refused to budge. I also had lost energy and sometimes my apetite. I was utterly exhausted and unmotivated. Healthy foods continued to make up my deit, and I still exercised somewhat regularly, although it was not as often as before. But, without healthy sleep, my weight stayed stagnant! It was very frustrating.
The week after Caleb started sleeping well, causing me to sleep better, I started losing weight again! That was a month ago, and I have lost 4 pounds since then! That is saying something, because I am only 2 pounds above my prepregnancy weight now.
An article on The Diet Channel website states the following:
Weight: 5.5 lbs. above prepreg. weight! (I lost 1.5 lbs. after weighing the same for WEEKS)
Weekly Activity:
1- Ran 8 Miles
2- Kickboxing
3- Ran 3.1 Miles and weight lifted
4- Kickboxing and Bosu Class (Blake Kickboxed with me! So fun!)
Okay, so it's been interesting. I have LOVED being a mom. It has been the most amazing and rewarding experience. However, with mommy stresses, a wild baby who always wants to be held and doesnt want to sleep, and my brother leaving on a mission, I have had some setbacks. My emotions have not quite been in my favor and I have experienced sympoms of Anxiety Disorder. It has been so hard, with being fatigued, weak, and nautious. So, I have taken a break from exercise. With that being said, I am still only 7 lbs. above my prepreg. weight! I am starting working out again today. I will report again next week. Thanks for everyone's support!!! We can do it!
